Kaman said the news that Kathleen DeSalvo was charged resulted in
mixed emotions in several of the associations' board members. "While
gratified to see progress in the criminal investigation, the one
charge of mail fraud against Kathleen DeSalvo pales in comparison to
the devastation and breech of trust that this theft has caused
within many condominium and homeowners associations," he said.
Condo management accused of embezzling
The management firm of a local condominium association is
the subject of an FBI investigation for allegedly embezzling several
million dollars from bank accounts of the 50 properties it managed.
Condo company sued

A Willoughby-based condominium management company and its owners are
being sued by 11 of the homeowners associations it managed.
MultiVest Management Inc., with headquarters at 4212 Chillicothe
Road, Suite 100, and its owners - husband and wife James G., 62, and
Kathleen DeSalvo, 51, of 7673 Crimson Court in Mentor - is being
sued on claims of fraud, unjust enrichment, breach of contract and
negligence.
The suit was filed by David W. Kaman of Kaman and Cusimano law
offices in Cleveland.
